Projet VIVaCE (Valeurs Indexicales de la VAriation et Cognition sociale : étude développementale des attitudes linguistiques Enfantines)

Le projet VIVaCE propose une étude systématique des préférences sociales enfantines, fondée sur des données expérimentales et qualitatives (corpus d’entretiens). Il permettra de préciser et d’affiner les étapes de l’émergence des préférences et catégorisations chez l’enfant monolingue et bilingue et de décrire les sources possibles de variation dans le développement de la cognition sociale des enfants et de l’émergence des stéréotypes.

DU PROCESSUS DE SOCIALISATION EN INTERACTION DE JEUNES MIGRANTS VERS LA FORMATION PROFESSIONNELLE SITUEE (PROJET SIM-FOR)

Ce projet de recherche se donne comme objectif l’observation des pratiques langagières dans différents espaces de socialisation que traverse le jeune individu plurilingue (famille, pairs, associations, loisirs etc). Il sera question d’analyser les interactions et les postures qu’un enfant/adolescent-e migrant peut/doit endosser selon les contraintes du contexte interactionnel. Il sera donc question d’étudier les interactions entre l’enfant/adolescent-e migrant et son entourage familial et social plus élargi afin de mieux saisir la complexité de la gestion du plurilinguisme à l’échelle d’enfants migrants qui se déplacent et traversent différents espaces de socialisation.
Ce projet vise à répondre à 2 questions principales :
1.Comment les comportements langagiers du jeune locuteur varient-ils selon le contexte d’interaction ?
2.Comment l’enfant/adolescent manifeste et gère-t-il/elle son plurilinguisme en interaction et en quoi cette gestion est-elle un indice de son processus de socialisation ?

Objectifs

  • Documenter le développement des attitudes linguistiques chez l’enfant âgé entre 5 et 12 ans, vis-à-vis d’un ensemble de variables documentées dans la littérature sociolinguistique

  • Voir si l’enfant monolingue a une trajectoire développementale des attitudes différente que celle du bilingue

  • Hypothèses
  • Les enfants développent une préférence vis-à-vis du standard avec l’âge

  • Les enfants développent des attitudes différentes en fonction des variables

  • L’enfant monolingue a une trajectoire différente que celle de l’enfant bilingue

  • Principaux résultats
  • Avec l’âge, les enfants (monolingue et bilingue) développent des préférences pour les variantes std

  • Les enfants ne jugent pas les variables de la même façon

  • Les enfants bilingues tendent à préférer les variantes standard plus tardivement que les enfants monolingues
