Scientific framework and objectives

Research is being carried out on the babbling development of bilingual children as part of the international project “The effect of bilingualism on speech perception and production in the first year of life” (PI. N. Paillereau). The fundamental aim of this research project is to examine the effect of bilingualism on the development of speech perception and production in the first year of life of infants, in order to enrich and generalise existing theoretical models of early language development.
