The research unit has three experimental rooms for the collection of behavioral, electrophysiological and kinematic data for the study of the perception and production of speech in adults and children.
In addition to these three experimental rooms, the research unit has specific mobile equipment that enables the recording of oral or written linguistic data in the field.

Room for behavioral experimentation

This room is equipped with 8 boxes and allows simultaneous acquisition of behavioral data from 8 participants.


Facilities:

  • 8 Response joysticks

Anechoic EEG Room

This room, shared with the MSH Lyon – Saint-Étienne, also serves as a video studio.
As part of its use by the research unit, it is intended for conducting electroencephalographic (EEG) experiments and audio recordings in adult participants.
It is divided in two areas : one for the "controller / experimenter" and the other one for the subject. They communicate via an intercom.

Optotrak Room

This room allows measurements in motion kinematics, as well as in electroencephalography, in adults and children from the age of 8 months.

  • Optotrak Certus (NDI)
  • Biosemi EEG acquisition system with 32/64 channels
    + 8 exogenous

  • Matlab (with OAPI Toolbox)
  • Kinematic Acquisition and Visualization Software (NDI First Principles & Data View)
