Ce workshop s'inscrit dans le cadre d'un projet translinguistique du consortium The Evolution of Semantic Systems (EoSS) piloté par l'Institut Max Planck de Psycholinguistique aux Pays-Bas (Coord. A. Majid, M. Dunn et F. Jordan). L'objectif principal de ce consortium est d’étudier des langues appartenant aux différentes branches de la famille indo-européenne pour examiner les similitudes et les différences dans la structure des catégories sémantiques de ces langues.
Le workshop portera plus particulièrement sur des langues de la branche balto-slave et visera à examiner quatre domaines conceptuels : parties du corps, objets manufacturés (récipients), couleurs (propriétés d’objets) et espace (relations entre objets).
