  • 2022-currently: PhD student. Dissertation temporary title: "Documentation and description of Yamalero, a Guahiban language in the Colombian Eastern Plains". PhD in cotutelle between the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Eulàlia Bonet & Francesc Torres-Tamarit) and the Université Lumière Lyon 2 (Antoine Guillaume).
  • 2021-2022: MA in Language Description and Documentation, cum laude (Leiden University). MA thesis: A phonological description of Yamalero, the language of ethnic Yaruro in the Colombian Eastern Plains, supervised by Rik van Gijn and Bert Botma.
  • 2010-2014: BA in Linguistics (University of Barcelona)

  • 2023: Jesús Tuson Prize for Language Diversity. Awarded by the Xarxa Vives d’Universitats for his MA thesis “Phonological description of Yamalero, the language of ethnic Yaruro in the Colombian Eastern Plains”.
  • 2023: Connecting the Colombian Yaruro with their Venezuelan ancestors: phase 1 (9.915$), awarded by the Firebird Foundation for Anthropological Research (1.2023).
  • 2023: A community-based documentation of Yamalero’s traditional practices, a Guahiban language in the Colombian Eastern Plains (7.432€), awarded by the Endangered Languages Documentation Program (declined for the Firebird Foundation grant).
  • 2022: PhD grant, awarded by the Spanish Ministery of Science and Innovation (PRE2021-098037)
  • 2021. Preliminary documentation of the Yamalero language (1.200€), awarded by the Leiden International Students Fund (L214147-3-45).
  • 2014. Eva Monrós award (honorable mention).
